 K：Kevin 凱文L：Lara 羅拉 K：How many people did you invite? L：Well, it's really just a small gathering. Besides you and me, there are about six more people. Four of them are vegetarians. K：Why don't you prepare a mini salad bar? I'll get some chicken wings from the Deli for the non-vegetarians. This way everyone will have something to eat. L：Good idea! I think I'll just prepare a salad bar with Caesar salad, Chef salad, Garden salad, and assorted veggies and dip. Everyone can help themselves. K：妳邀請了多少人？ L：這次聚會人不多，除了你和我，大概還有六個人，其中有四個是吃素的。 K：你可以準備一個小沙拉吧，我去熟食部幫不吃素的人買雞翅，這樣每個人 就都有的吃了。 L：好主意！我會準備一個沙拉吧，裡面有凱薩沙拉、主廚沙拉、田園沙拉、 什錦蔬菜和醬料，讓每個人可以自取。
L：Gee! There's so many to choose from. What do you suggest?K：Just stick to the basic ones and you won't go wrong. I know Jill likes sweet and rich dressings. Thousand Island would be the one for her. L：For me it's a toss-up between Balsamic Vinaigrette and Italian. I like my dressing sour and light. Well, I think I'll try the Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing. What do you like? K：I've got a bottle of Ranch at home. Hey, how about the "Parmesan and Roasted Garlic" dressing? The woman at the stand recommended it. L：We'll take that, too. That should be enough. Let's get the other stuff and get out of here. L：哇！有這麼多可以選擇。你建議買哪一種？K：選擇常見的口味就不會錯，我知道吉兒喜歡甜一點、濃一點的醬料，千島醬很適合她。 L：我可能會選酒醋醬或是義大利醬，我喜歡酸酸的、清淡一點的醬料。好吧，我想就試試看酒醋醬好了。那你選什麼？ K：我家裡已經有一罐奶油沙拉醬了，對了，試看看「乾酪烤大蒜醬」怎麼樣？試吃攤上的那個售貨員極力推薦的。 L：那就買吧！這樣應該夠了，我們把其他東西買齊就可以走人了。 |
