我想辦借書證 I'd like to apply for a library card
Librarian: Good morning. Can I help you?
Tommy: Yes. I'd like to apply for a library card. My family just moved here.
Librarian: Certainly. Well, I'll need to see some sort of identification with your name and address on it.
Tommy: How many books am I allowed to check out?
Librarian: You can check out two books at a time, but you can't check out newspapers, magazines, or other periodicals; they have to be read here.
Tommy: How long am I allowed to keep the books for?
Librarian: Two weeks. After that you have to renew the books if you want to keep them longer, or pay a fine of one dollar a day for each book.
館員：早，有什麼需要服務的嗎？
湯米：我想辦借書證，我們家才剛搬來這區。
館員：：沒問題，不過我們需要有你的姓名和地址的身分證件。
湯米：我可以借幾本書？
館員：一次可以借兩本書。但報紙、雜誌及期刊不外借，只能在這裡看。
湯米：我可以借閱多久？
館員：兩個星期。如果你還想再借，就要辦續借，否則每本書超過一天我們要罰一元。
